This needs to be done for all those who have encrypted merchant accounts for paypal! Security is a must for some people. I would love to be able to use this so I dont have to make another site out of html.

Hey guys, I'm Roy, the Wix developer in charge of the (obviously) much beseeched feature, HTML component. I'm here to give a little update on what's going on with it.

First of all, the good news: Your plight has not been in vain, as I just got the HTML component seriously bumped up in priority. I've got several nasty issues to get out of the way before I can give it my full attention (Wix is still a small company, and we all have lots of responsibilities to juggle), but in a day or two it'll be my numero uno priority.

Right now I have it working on Firefox, and when I get to work on it again, I'll be laboring to have it working on Internet Explorer and Safari. I will also have to determine some special editor behaviors for this component (what happens, for example, when you throw an HTML box into a carousel gallery?)

The (possibly) bad news: Since the next version update is in a week, and this is a short work week, I can't guarantee that it'll be included in the next version. I can guarantee, though, that I'll do my very best.

I'm interested to know what you plan to do with this component, and it'll help me to know what type of html codes to expect. Please share in this thread what uses you want to achieve with embedded html in your Wix!

brilliant news!! i didn't even know it would be possible.

I can (sorta) understand the nasty issues - working with IE is always nasty imo.

of course there will be endless widgets added to the site - would counters work? as they will be in an iframe...? also things like mini calendars, countdown timers, etc.

also, we will add forums, and maybe snapshots of other sites just like a regular iframe.

one huge advantage is to add our own customised contact forms, e.g. wufoo. this will take pressure off wix to offer the same native features.

good work, hope it makes it into the next update. we're counting on you Roy!!

ok guys. all u wix users out there. html and embedding has been a demand from paying and non paying users since a long time. this vote is not to go against wix. they have been very generous and nice. this vote is just to highlight the emergency of the situation. if u feel too that html and embedding is necessary, then just post a reply. Wow, I actually cam on here to find out if there was a way to do html, that's awesome that the moderators are working on it. The site is awesome btw. i found it last night. Great site, great mods, can't for html then this would be perfect!
