Upload Flash

This website is great but it would be much greater if we could upload flash to it.

I made an attempt to upload flash in the media section of the wix designer and my attempt failed horribly. (It only uploads pictures.)

Please, allow us to upload flash or if it's already possible tell us how.

actually, it is possible to upload flash. if you're unable to do it, take a loot at these steps and it may solve the problem:

That link tells how to upload Flash only if it uses ActionScript3. It and other places within Wix support always say to just convert your Flash file to ActionScript3 before uploading - like that was just SO easy. That's the part that I cannot understand. I can find about a hundred video to Flash converters on the Web and every single one of them only creates AS2. I've spent countless hours download, installing, and trying to find one that will generate AS3, but can't. The only thing that I can find is the original Adobe Flash software, but I thought that one of the main benefits of using Wix was that I could generate a Flash based Web site without having to pay $700 or so to Adobe for their Flash generation software. If I have to buy Adobe Flash and use it, then the cost advantage of using Wix to build my Web site disappears.

I've submitted a support ticket and got some generic response about how this will be available in a future release and was pointed to the new Features List page which doesn't say ANYTHING about that. I've not been given any kind of date as to when this feature might be available. I also asked if they were aware of any program in the market place that would generate AS3, but that question was ignored and not answered.

The whole reason that I wanted to use Wix to easily generate a Flash based Web site is so that I could play Flash videos on the site (that are not hosted on YouTube or any of the other Wix supported video sites). I'm trying to generate a Web site for my small company that produces videos. I don't want these videos out on YouTube or some place else. I want to directly upload the media to my Flash based Web site, but it's very frustrating to me that I can't do it with Wix. This keeps me from being able to use Wix for my site.

To me (and apparently many other users judging from some of the posts), being able to directly upload non-AS3 Flash video to my media (or finding some reasonable way to convert video to AS3 first) is the number one critical priority new feature. No other new feature matters until this is resolved. Thanks for listening.

You can't convert as2 to as3, these are two quasi different things, you may directly create your animations under flash cs3 or cs4

I think you misunderstood when you say that you cannot convert AS2 to AS3. That is not the issue.

I did not say that I wanted to convert Flash from CS2 to CS3. I am starting with a video file and trying to convert it to a Flash format (AS3) that will play on my Wix page. All of the programs I've tested so far convert the video to Flash just fine but when I try to upload it to My Media, Wix tells me that it's in AS2 format and must be in AS3.

I'm just trying to find a program that will do that other than the expensive Adobe products or have Wix provide me with a way to make this work.

I'm sorry but you're obliged to use adobe, as far as I know, no soft can actually code in action script3
