Hi Jimbo,
The 'Gadget' you mention doesn't exist.
It's HTML you are talking about and when that finally arrives you'll be able to find and embed a gadget to do this.
For now you could use google analytics, which does pretty much what you want.\

This is my wish list:

1. favicon-- to be able to make it from a picture and edit anytime just like everything else

2. different styles of this annoying blue stripe which appears when a page loads.

3. html still version of my front page (at least) to appear when someone tries to open my website on iPhone

Ive been looking around the wish list for ages now and there are very little wishes that actually come true.

The Hit counter - which is one of the most basic of items, has been on the post for months now

this is only one of many things us paying or non paying wix users would like. to be honest the flash based builder is really good but come on guys....pull your finger out.....get some heads together and action what you have been promising for a long time.

THROW SOME DEVELOPERS AT IT......AND SOME $$$ AND TAKE IT OUT OF BETA

I too would great enjoy a chat room.

And very importantly-I would be more then eternally thankful with members only pages, and full control of the content, to include user upload.

I am new to the forum. I have spent a week putting together a couple of sites that I wish to upgrade but now have serious reservations the more I find the lacking features that are integral for a (paying) business customer. After all the work and the day it took to read this entire thread, I really think the team leader at WIX has to listen and do something about this critical features:

I am sure that more than a number of people will not upgrade because of the ridiculous BLUE PRELOAD bar that is SO OPPOSED TO BY SO MANY. It says, "this is really just a game". Ditto for the annoying WIX tags that do nothing positive for the company. It does not take a scientist to change the bar to a neutral color, make it thin, or substitute it with numbers...

CREDIT CARD payment and Esecure SUCH AS THE ONE WIX has for itself should be de facto for it's customers who need to sell properly. Paypal alone is not enough!

Embedding flash and video from VIMEO or uploading from the computer is fundamental for designers and others who CANNOT use something as pedestrian as youtube.

Uploading your own favicon on premium service is a nobrainer nowadays.

Useful external widgets and of course, the holy grail, HTML.

I won't even go into detail on all the "peripheral" features that are grossly lacking that the "other" free site producer offers (and for less).

Survey polls, drop down menus, navigation system, embedded pdf/word/excel documents, EMAIL setup with google apps without the extra charge, ...

Please work on the basics or I believe people will take their (real) business elsewhere.

I read in the help section that you have plans for adding the ability to include forums in a website. Is this on the table? Is it expected soon. I host at a different location but I will be coming to wix.com when this is available. Thanks

add a login page. *so visitors can make an account on the website (nothing to do with wix accounts)
