We're now entrusting you with one of the most important missions we can offer - testing the HTML component on Wix.

You've all received the email with your special instructions, so you know what to do (if you haven't received the email, write to me on the forum.

What we need now is:

1. A link to your test sites with HTML stuff on them.
2. Your remarks and suggestions, bugs' reports and other feedback.

I'd like to stress out something: The HTML tool is still far from being complete. The fact that we're releasing it for testing now does not mean it will go live next week, ok? Thanks for understanding

Thanks for letting me help evaluate as a Pioneer.

I am curious about what this added feature will do for my site. I am SO new to all this. At first glance I was thinking that this new HTML feature was going to give me the option of pointing my potential clients to HTML version of my page. That is for those in remote areas that are on slow dial-up connections, and who don't have flash (silly, I know)

I would be curious to see how other Wix users are using this new HTML widget. What would this be used for? How would HTML code of some sort benefit on a fully flash page?

Again, I am just curious. How can I use this new widget to make my site even better??

Hi Tim,

Keep in mind that you can't really use the HTML to do anything with your site right now. It's still in testing mode, so it will not be visible in your real Wix account.

Take the time to experiment with the HTML and get inspiration, so that when the feature is actually live you'll know what you should do with it

Please post links to test sites, even if the HTML doesn't seem to be working. Our tech guys need to examine them and determine what's wrong.

Just knocked up a very quick example with a hitcounter I use on a lot of my 'normal' sites (StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats) and it appears to work well.

Not sure why but counter didn't appear on first access to the page (although the preview was fine) but then magically appeared (after a bit of head scratching and checking on my part).

Obviously a lot of checking and testing to do yet but this looks like a great leap forward. Thanks guys.

ok so... i may be retarded... but can someone help me out and tell me how to make a beta testing website... i would like to test out this awesome new HTML feature with my embeddable calendar and it doens't show up on my actual site.

it's very displaced. it's halfway off my editor screen but just in the middle when you preview it. and on the editor, it would be covering almost the whole page if it were in the center..
