Hey Pioneeros,

This is the thread for your opinions on our brand new shopping cart!

How do you like it? Are there any e-commerce features that you think we left out? Is there anything “Wix-ish” that you would have expected to find here? How do you like the design? Was it easy to handle?

The dev guys are eager for your thoughts, so please share! We can still make some changes before we offer it to all Wix users, so this is your chance to make a difference .

Hy, permit me once again to call you Ripple; and when I do, u know it's a good news. The e-commerce is nice I really like it. The slidable feature of the product makes it special (to me).
Here are some areas that (i think) need to be checked properly:

1. There will be a continous warning from Paypal concerning the SSL certification of the sites (even when registered in another domain)
2. There is no link redirected to the seller's website when buyer(s) wish(es) to cancel payment
3. The script always require of buyer(s) to install a language Pack in order to proceed to paypal (am using IE- service pack 3)
4. Is is possible to have more products displayed on the page other than 4?
5. When I tried to shrink the products, others would vanish.... you know.

Above all, it's a nice ob while it's being developed. Big-up guys!

I love the shopping cart.
My questions are these. Since I would be using this for people to order photos (Photography) Do you have to have a picture in the product list? i would just have one general picture with product sizes available and price in the product category.
plus same concerns as above comment.

sorry, I was unable to see how the cart would work. it only said I needed to upgrade to ecommerce. Is this just a testing reason or will this be included with premium accounts? thanks, Danielle

The shopping cart will definitely be a premium feature, but in the testing area you're all supposed to be able to use it. Could you please clear your cache and try again? It should work! I'll look into your question a bit later, as I'm not sure, just wanted to make sure it works first

We're having a meeting about this next week so I can share all your comments with the dev ppl, and you guys have made some extremely helpful comments.

Danielle, I'm not sure if it's possible, I will find out, and if it's not - it's definetly an important issue to consider. Thank you! Were you able to make it work though?

1. Should be able to add pages to product gallery, even if spaces on previous pages. That way you can split products into categories. Also, goto state doesnt work on product galleries (that would allow for buttons to jump to a category)

2. More customisation on the shopping cart panel - colours, text, logo, etc.

3. Maybe the option to hide the cart panel (or minimise it to just the text "view cart". When clicked it expands. Also, when an item is added it expands, or fades in...

4. More skins (i imagine thats the plan anyway)

5. Multiple photos per item. once a photo is enlarged, there could be a small slider that scrolls thru photos

6. another layout for displaying products: paragraph of text with photo on left

7. searchable tags

8. product variations, with radio and/or drop down menus. e.g. colour, size. preferably variations that can alter the price too

9. scrollbars for long descriptions

10. click on the name of the item in the shopping cart, and it brings up the detailed view.

11. THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT YET: an admin interface for clients. If wix can make this possible, web designers could create e-commerce sites for clients, with their own content management system. this would be so popular. the admin should have no wix branding, and if poss, appear as part of the domain, e.g. www.domain.com/admin

very nice so far, also liking the other new improvements, but menus need work - more customisation of colours, text size, rollover effects, etc.

i only wrote this as i thought the only menus on offer were very limited... ive just seen that you can add menus which include buttons. that would be great, but it doesnt work for me. when i add a menu, my only choices are:
