Default Question before buying

So I am creating a website with the free editor right now. My question is, are all of the options limited due to me using the free editor? If not then I am having a problem embedding a link from a picture on my home page to another page. When in the editor I click behaviors on the picture and select the option to "Go to page" the only page option is the page I am trying to link from (My home page). I want to link to another page it is not there for me to link to.

My other question is in the details of the unlimited premium package it says I get my own domain. Does that mean I don't have to register a domain; Wix will register it for me?

Ok I believe I have resolved my issue with linking pages through pictures however I have a new problem. Is there a way to link to a minipage through text in a text box. Ok so I have a text box listing multiple products. I have minipages for each product, can I embed a hyperlink to each page on the text? Where all you have to do is click a particular product and it takes you to that minipage?

Thank you

You need to purchase a domain name outside. Try www.GoDaddy.com

Thank you
Hi announcingthis.
You have a Text Box listing multiple products. (Not a Scroll bar text box)
And you have a minipage with slides to each product.
You want to click on a product on your text box and go to the slide of that product
in the minipage.

Pretty much like the 'Pricing page' on this site?
www.wix.com/MarioGerada/Picmatts

I believe the text box and the minipage must be on the same mainpage.
I don't believe you can call a minipage slide from a text box that's not on the same mainpage.
Also, you can't put 'Hotspots' on a scrollbar text box.
I stand to be corrected but think I'm right here.

Have you tried publishing a test site (costs nothing) and experimenting there?
I use a test site all the time. I say to publish it so you would be able to show us
all the tricks you're going to learn.

Yeah, I saw it the other day and tried it out. Worked then but not so good now.

Actually, I don't know the practicallity of it. (undecided)
but a good and fun Idea.

Mario

Ps. I just wrote to Sheer,
I upgraded a site and linked my domain to it.
Works fine only I upgraded the backup instead of the actual finished site.
The backup I upgraded is now different to the main site.
Hope they don't take too long to changing it over to the right site.

First, thank you for your response. The site you linked has exactly what I am looking for but on the home page not the pricing. I wonder though did he do multiple text boxes and some how placed a box around all the individual text boxes? Or is it one text box with all his text in it and he was able to apply links to words within the text box?

Here is my published text site:
Announcing This!

First, Your 'Announce This' link is not working so I can't see it.
Second I think you are refering to my 'Matts' page, not the home page.
The home page of any site is the first page that comes up when you click a site URL.
Now, assuming it's the 'Matts' page you are talking about.

1. The main page with the menu on the left. (the page after you press 'Enter')
2. On this main page I have a minipgage with six slides. Some of the slides have minipages within them.
3. Also within this minipage I have a Slider
Very hard to explain to you.
Just remember you can have minipages within minipages within minipages and any one of the slides in any of the minipages can be pointing to any of the slides in any of the other minipages.

You're obviously new to this concept but worry, it's not as hard as I might be making it out.

You're really on restricted to the fact that you can't call a prticular slide of a minipage unless you are calling it from it's own mainpage.
I know this sounds confusing, but read it through a few times 'till it starts to make sense. Then ask more questions if you like. I don't mind if you ask the same question a hundred times, It will sink in sooner or later....lol

Finally, I suggest you get used to refering to the minipage as the container and the pages within it as the slides.
If it were up to me, I'd rename the minipage to something like minibook and then the slides within it to pages.

I believe I understand, I noticed my name was spelled wrong on the link so I fixed it. The link should work now. I will continue to work on this until I get it. And thanks for the Go Daddy referral, I was planning on using them until I read that on the Wix site. So looks like I will be using them anyway. Thank you for your help.

Ok so I am not getting it, I don't understand how you are putting slide (I guess) inside a minipage. You said you put a minipage inside a minipage, I don't get how to do that. My best option would be to put to "minipages" within my main minipage called "home" each one housing a text menu linking to multiple other minipages. Hope this makes sense. If I can get how to insert minipages inside minipages then I think I can get the rest.

Thanks again for your help

Sean
