Submittal/.asp Forms

Hi,

Our company was looking at updating our site using Wix. The one issue that we have not solved yet is how we can create a "submittal form" for information we would need from our clients when they go to send us work via our website. Our current form is at "http://www.earthcalc.com/WTL_Form_Earthwork.asp". All we need is for it to send us an email with what they fill out. Does anyone know of a possible way to do this?

There is no way at the moment until we get a HTML feature.

Thanks for the reply. We have found a current workaround for this issue, but out of curiousity -- Is there an expected release date for the update to allow html?

Hi Viper,
Unfortunately no release date yet.
I'm confident it's not that far away now as we are testing the beta again.
As with anything new, there will be hiccups so they are trying to locate as many bumps in the road as possibe.


Please, as it may be of interest to the rest of us, what work around did you come up with?

Hi Mario,

The workaround for now will be to have it located on another one of our hosted sites. It's not quite the ideal solution since it will have to be linked to a different domain to do that and it won't have the nice look and feel of the newly designed site on Wix, but it will open in it's own window and since it is simply a submittal form for us to receive workorders from clients it is not as necessary for it to be pretty as long as it's functional.

Then once the html feature is ready to go, I can implement it onto a Wix page ^_^ Once I have that portion of it complete I'll post it on the forums for you to view if you would like.

Thanks for that, I thought as much and yes it would be interesting see too.

One thought I had and only a thought was to upload a premade template from a button on the site.
It could be an Excel or word template.
The template would have your form on it and a SEND hyperlink.

Frankly, I don't know if you can program an excel or word doc to do that, but as I said it was just a thought, just trying to think laterally.
