Hi landrieu, I've followed all your advice as regards optimising my site for search engines, and I have tested it using online
SEO tools. I am glad to report that the site now scores well when it comes to meta tags, meta description and being optimised for my keywords.
However, I have just tested my site using the Pear Analytics online analyzer and have come across many problems with my site. You can view the report by Pear Analytics here
http://analyzers.pearanalytics.com/r...e9c10dccccc214
The report states that my site has poor relevancy between page content and meta information. It also states that my site has 'poor structure' and that there is something wrong with my coding. It also says it cannot recognise any HTML. I am very concerned about this. I really want my site to be found on Google when I type in the kewords 'gay liverpool' etc...but it seems that there are many problems I have to work through before I can achieve this, besides what you have already told me. I have also done a 'spider crawl test', and it seems that the spider cannot pick out any text on my first page other than that in my Page Title, and navigation menu. I am also unsure about how the spider could possibly recognise the rest of my site given that the url is same on every single page??
How will the spider ever be able to see if my pages are relevant if it cannot read the text?
I am getting so worked up about all this. I made a MySpace page and wikipedia article with similar content several months ago and they have appeared in Google search results no problem. Since using wix, aiming for high google ranking seems a nightmare. Can you please help?? Many Thanks in advance ;-) I hope I make sense.
