Default Avoiding Duplicate Content

Hi everyone,
We've just published another SEO blog post you might find interesting. Here is an excerpt from it plus a direct link to the blog:

Duplicate content is a term that comes up often as you embark on the process of optimizing your website, and always as something that needs to be avoided like fire. Having duplicate content on your website will damage your ranking in the search engines. If Google, for example, perceives that duplicate content was used in an attempt to manipulate page rankings or deceive users they may even remove your site from their index altogether.
Also, some of you have shared that you found it difficult to index a new site that was similar (or even identical) to the old one that was still available online. So here are a few ideas on how to avoid duplicate content and make sure that visitors see exactly what you want them to...

I get an e-mail from web pro news on on a consistent basis and the one I got today reminded me of this thread, so I figured that I would post it. It's about the myth of duplicate content. Here is the article: Duplicate Content

Question, what if your blog posting has similar content to your web content?

I can't speak for Wix because I only use Wix for personal sites and I don't really care about its ranking, but I do have a business site elsewhere. My blog is right on my website and I use it to create articles that my audience might find important and then they can comment on it and view everything on my site without ever having to leave it. So, what I'm trying to say is that, in my opinion, a blog should have content related to your web site if that's what it is used for. You can also create subscriptions to RSS feeds to your blog that people post on their own website. All of this put together increases your importance to search engines. Not only by just having a blog, but also by letting people put the RSS feed to your blog on their web site which creates another link to your site which search engines also look for. Also, Google doesn't really penalize you for duplicate content. Some might, but Google is less stringent in that category.

Post Re. Duplicate Content

Hi readers,

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

The acronym "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.

Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or Spamdexing, use methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.

Example of SEO is link building like ccnp
.

Thanks;

When it comes to article marketing, duplicate content is not an issue if the purpose is only to get a back link. Having duplicate content on your site is not good if you want to improve your ranking.

Default Muscle force max

A few hundered dollars will be hard to do, since most of the really good tools out there will eat up your budget. For some BI check out a product called "ranking manager" and check out "compete.com" . KeywordDiscovery is a good tool, but costs a lot. A good way to learn about keywords is to run a small PPC campaign and use direct words "ohio vacations" instead of ohio vacations which will display ads even if someone searches "vacations out of ohio". This will give you an idea of what terms are searched most on google, as the impression count will show you how many searches there were.
