How to develop a strong web presence

The internet, the web, is literally like a spider web. Connecting million of people on any matter you can think of. Within this system your goal is to create your own spider web, and connecting your viewers to it. Meaning: linking all your internet pages together and creating your own network (as a musician or band) that you control.
Within this spider web you create, your goal is to get the viewers to circulate through it. Setting up a website, with your own domain, is a crucial first step is creating a solid web presence. It is your home base. A MySpace page doesn't have the same function and impact as your own website, It establishes and strengths your web presence and gives you a professional look as an artist.
Visitors may find you through different online locations, but if they become fans, and in order to actually take them to the next level they'll look for more detailed information about you.

Remember: when creating anything on wix make sure to go to the "settings" and add a title, tags & description. so GOOGLE WILL FIND YOU!
make sure the word in the tags and the description match the text you have in your web site.

I recently discovered that it's important to name the wix sites (when you save) with keywords you need your visitors to find you with, it has a real big impact on google, quasi faster than keywords and other meta stuffs.
So, if you run a free account, you'll have a url from the hell :

www.wix.com/myband/music_drums_guitar_rock_beer_sex_drug_rock_n_roll_ hell_my_wife_want_to_divorce_and_i_ve_just_been_fi red

and it's uncool, except if you like it. You'll get rid of it with a premium upgrade and connecting your domain to your wix directly.
