Hello all! I'm a studio session bassist, and I give cred's to my client's music that is on my site. I have stated in plain language that ALL MATERIAL IS COPYWRITTEN by the respective artists, and that I am ALLOWED to use their tracks with the permission of the artists. Anytime permission is withdrawn, the tracks come off. You can also link to my client's websites via hyperlinks on my Wix.
Legal issues are bad, so do the right thing (and the smart thing): give credit where credit is due! If it is not your original music, make sure you let everyone know who's music it is and where it came from.
